As a proud native Texan, I've witnessed a growing trend of depending on re-electing officials for extended periods, deviating from the vision our founding fathers had for community engagement.

Contrary to this trend, our founding fathers envisioned communities actively participating in their own affairs, with individuals from various backgrounds stepping up to serve and encouraging others to do the same. It's a principle I've embraced since my youth.
